System Architecture

The Confirmed Automation System can provide centralized control for a completely integrated system, or can be installed in an existing network to supplement the capability.   Communication with your devices can be implemented using any standard input output modules available from a number of suppliers.   A typical installation is shown below.

Network Diagram

Computer

Control is provided by a Windows based industrial or desktop computer.   The Confirmed Automation System software will be installed on the computer prior to installation.

Internet Connection

Internet access for the installation is required to allow the user to monitor and control equipment over the Internet. Customer to supply Internet connection

CA Controller

All equipment is connected to the CA Controller panel(s). All control standards are accepted by the controller, using input and output modules that can be provided by many suppliers. Typical devices include:

  • 4 - 20 mA
  • 0 - 10 VDC
  • 110 VAC
  • 12 VDC and 24 VDC
  • Relay and Contacts
  • RTD
  • ...

Network

The Confirmed Automation System can operate on any standard industrial network, using the appropriate input and output modules.   Communication with the I/O can happen with TCP/IP, Modbus and other standard communication protocols.

Existing Controllers and PLCs

The Confirmed Automation System can be connected to the same network as existing controllers and PLCs.  The interface, monitoring, alarming and control capability from the Confirmed Automation System can significantly enhance an existing control system.
